NEW! Final Environmental Impact Statement | PUBLIC MEETINGS SCHEDULED August 9 & 10 Welcome! The Vermont Agency of Transportation, in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration,has prepared an environmental impact statement on transportation improvements from Interstate I-89 to Williston, Essex and Essex Junction. The study took a fresh look at all issues and options, including the southern portion of the previously proposed Chittenden County Circumferential Highway. The Final Environmental Impact Statement was completed in July 2010. This website provides information about the study and ways for the public to get involved and submit comments.
